The Turquoise Coast
Turquoise Beach Co. is inspired by the Mediterranean summer and the golden shores of the Turkish riviera, also known as the Turquoise Coast. There are more than 1000 kilometres of this spectacular coastline stretching from Antalya in the south up towards the Cesme peninsula. Crystal clear water, electric blues and hot pink bougainvillea accentuated by thickly forested hills, limestone cliffs and protected bays embody the landscape.
The town of Bodrum is the jewel in the crown of the Turquoise Coast. The old town of sugar cubed architecture and cobble stone lanes rise above the 15th-century castle of St. Peter. Steeped in history, Saint Nicholas (aka Santa Claus) was born in the ancient Lycian city of Patara on the Mediterranean coast. Not to mention Bodrum is known for the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus which is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
The Bodrum town and surrounding bays weave along the coastline revealing humble fishing villages, private villas, glitzy yacht harbours and exclusive five star hotels. The allure of the calm waters, hidden bays, restaurants and nightlife make this the perfect destination. Be sure to sample the local cuisine including stuffed mussels known as midye dolma, the freshly grilled local fish, crisp salads and mezzes. Sample the olives, pomegranates, lemons, oranges, grapes, walnuts, peaches and apricots that all thrive in this landscape.
The signature experience on the Turquoise coast is the Blue Voyage or Mavi Yolculuk. The traditional wooden Turkish gulet boat is built in Bodrum and Marmaris. The average size of gulet is 20 to 30 meters length and features 4 to 8 cabins for private charter. The Blue Voyage is the perfect was to explore the regions the ancient cities, beaches, forests, antiquities, harbours, tombs and many private bays. One of the most spectacular bays only accessible by water is Butterfly Valley which is home to roughly 100 species of butterflies created by the protected oasis.

All our towels are made in the Denzili region which is approximately 150 kilometres inland from the Turquoise Coast in the Aegean region. The name Deniz in Turkish translates to ‘sea’ due to its abundant water supply. This region benefits from the ideal eco-system, abundant water sources, fertile soil and climate to grow cotton in a sustainable way. This cotton has smooth long fibres that allows our towels to have a loose weave remaining lightweight and at the same time very absorbent. This means our towels are compact and fast drying.
